Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to share a recent adventure my husband, Dan, and I embarked on. We journeyed from our home in Montana to the stunning landscapes of Croatia and Montenegro. Our trip was filled with breathtaking views, rich cultural experiences, and unforgettable moments.

Setting Sail in Croatia

Our adventure began as we boarded the luxurious yacht, the Yolo, along with 30 other guests. This boutique cruise offered us a unique perspective of Croatia, combining relaxation with exploration. We set sail from Trogir and soon found ourselves biking through the picturesque backroads of charming coastal towns.

With e-bikes at our disposal, we effortlessly explored the islands of Solta and Vis. Cycling around Solta, we stopped in quaint towns like Rogac and Hvar, where we soaked in the vibrant atmosphere, local cuisine, and stunning sea views. The highlight was a cycling loop around Vis, where the island’s natural beauty truly shone through.

Our journey continued with visits to the island of Brač and a delightful coffee break in Postira, where we savored rich flavors while overlooking the shimmering Adriatic Sea. Each stop felt like stepping into a postcard.

Discovering Montenegro’s Hidden Gems

After returning to port in Split, we picked up a rental car and made our way to Montenegro. Our home for the next few days was a cozy Airbnb in Tivat, perfectly situated for exploring the stunning coastal life.

One of our most memorable experiences was a day trip to Durmitor National Park. As we hiked through this natural wonder, we were mesmerized by the outrageous fall colors, painting the landscape in vibrant hues. The crisp air and scenic views invigorated our spirits.

We couldn’t resist a visit to the famous Blue Cave for a refreshing swim, where the turquoise waters felt like a dream. Our days in Montenegro also included exploring the historic towns of Budva and Kotor, where we indulged in delicious local dishes and marveled at the rich history that surrounded us.

A Touch of Amsterdam

No trip to Europe would be complete without a stop in Amsterdam. We were blessed with blue skies during our visit, allowing us to stroll along the iconic canals, visit world-class museums, and experience the vibrant culture of this beautiful city. The atmosphere was electric, and we felt so lucky to cap off our adventure here.
